![]() Minidlna debug on my pi: all ext subs indexed and ready to being transferred with related movie.Ĭode: Select all $ dmesg | grep -i taint Kodi on android tvbox: no crash on files with ext sub but can not see ext subs.minidlna crashs after closing connectionĪndroid phone with vlc: no crash on files with ext sub but can not see ext subs.minidlna crashs after closing connection Lg tv: directly crashes with ext subs/ no issue without subs but was perfectly working till latest kernel update Indicates kernel error(!!TAINTED!!.noway.) with minidlna process and "G" "D" "C" flags after crash.I searched for that and found "snd_bcm2835" module as staging(with "lsmod" and "modinfo ").I can say that ı have no installed non-tree or non-licenced app/module which may cause "C" flag except snd_bcm2835 module.Īnyway ı installed serviio 1.9.1 and it is working well and no issue with external subs but ram usage is a bit high due to java usage instead of sql database.I still have tainted kernel issue and receiving kernel error messages(this time process java) when i started to watch movie on serviio but no crash/freeze.Īdditional info with minidlna ı tested with subtitles,if ı remove external subtitle or try to watch movies without subtitle it is working without any issue for days but each try with subtitle crashs minidlna.I also upgraded/complied to minidlna 1.2.1 but result was same.I think it happened after last pi kernel update on stretch.I am receiving same syslogd message. I can confirm ur problem that it started 2weeks ago after successful 8 months on deb repo 1.6.1 minidlna. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, or if not might have some suggestions what the problem might be. So if I want to reboot the raspi 3 I need to remember to first umount the ext usb HD drive first and physically remove it or the raspi 3 boot process stalls out and fails. ![]() So I removed the automount entry in fstab but that does not seem to make any difference. I also thought maybe the problem was related to the same ext usb HD I have been using since setting this up from day one 6 or so months ago since when I boot up connected to a monitor the boot stalls out when the ext usb HD is connected at the point where the raspi 3 tries to mount it, but fails and the boot process fails. I generally run the lastest version of minidlna, not the one in the repos, but have also downgraded to the repo version without any change. I have 4 or 5 raspi 3's and have tried moving my ext usb HD with my music directory to another raspi 3, even one running openhabian and the exact same thing occurs regardless the setup.
